We start new hobbies or start back old ones in this day and age, just doing something to keep busy. Although, this isn't true for everyone. Some of us can't seem to shake the negativity. You want to start a hobby. You want to get your brain working. In simple terms, you want to find your passion! It seems like everyone has their passion or something that they love. You do too as well; you must seek it. In this article, we will talk about the ways to find your passion and get yourself out of that funk.
Grab a blank paper or a notebook. Sit down somewhere with a pen or pencil and start to ask yourself this simple question. Is there something I already love doing? Whatever comes to mind, write it down. It could be as simple as cooking or as complex as making pottery. You can use anything.
If it's already a hobby, then write it down. Keep putting down your ideas until you can't think of anything else. At this point, you should have some ideas you can use to continue to the next step.
Narrow Things Down
You have a bunch of possibilities. Now what? Ask yourself what you want to achieve with your passion. Is it making more money as a side hustle? Or creating a small business and making a living off it? Whatever you desire, use that to narrow down your list. Make sure you are honest and authentic with yourself because this is the start of great things. If you won't be fair to yourself, then who will be? At this point, you shouldn't have any more than 3-5 things on your list. Once you have minimized your list, here comes where the real work starts.
Research, research, and more research
You're going to need to research as much as you can on your passion. "What if I'm already an expert at my passion?" Then research anyway. How do other people with the same passion make money? How much do they make? Where can I find the resources to make this lucrative? What training and education did I need? Try and find someone willing to advise you on how to be successful with said passion. Compile everything you can. Once you do, then you can finally say that you've found your passion. The real question is, what are you going to do with it now?
As an adult, we feel like time is running faster than we are and it's impossible to keep up. That what we have currently is what we are stuck with till the day we die. But that is not true. You can change things up as fast as you can start it. With this advice, you can be able to find your passion and get it started. It's never too late to act on your future if you're willing to put in the work.
